Bishop’s Stortford Retrofit Program

Overview

Delivering Renewable Energy to 78 Homes

As part of an ongoing renewable energy improvement programme in Bishop’s Stortford, our team successfully delivered a solar PV installation across 78 residential properties, helping residents reduce energy costs while supporting long-term carbon reduction targets.

The project involved the installation of 199 solar panels across the site, delivering a total system capacity of 86.565kWp. Working within occupied homes, the programme was carefully coordinated to ensure efficient delivery, minimal disruption to residents, and consistent quality across every property.

Delivery & Installation

The programme was delivered across multiple occupied properties, requiring detailed planning and close coordination throughout the installation process. Using the GSE in-roof mounting system allowed for a clean, low-profile finish while maintaining roof integrity and long-term performance.

Our teams ensured all systems were installed, tested, and commissioned in line with current electrical and renewable energy standards, with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and resident satisfaction throughout the project.

Project Outcome

The completed installation now provides residents with access to renewable energy generation directly from their homes, helping to lower household energy usage and contribute towards a more sustainable housing stock across the area. The project stands as another successful example of large-scale residential solar deployment delivered efficiently and professionally from start to finish.
